Liz and Chris Take a Trip

Hitchhiking in the Cameron Highlands (August 5)

August 5, 2015

After five days feeling like a walking waterfall from the humidity of Kuala Lumpur, I welcomed a short stint in the cool Cameron Highlands where I could comfortably rock jeans, a sweater, and even a rain jacket. Of course, the mountainous region had more to offer than just cooler temperatures and rain. We did some light hiking and tea plantation touring, as well as hitch-hiking, the most popular form of travel through the mountainous towns.

Passed a squash patch on our way.

Chutes and ladders is what Chris called this hike. Up and down, up and down, no end.

Made it to the temple after hours of hiking up and down switchbacks.

Walking down to the Tea Plantation just a few miles down the main road. (We hitchhiked back up after, thankfully since a rain storm had started.)
